Having successfully helped several people deal with various psychological ailments and behavioral problems, ranging from simple to serious in nature, Dr Prashant Bhimani is a name to be reckoned with in the field of practicing psychology.

Specifically recognized for his achievements in Hypnotherapy, Dr Bhimani leads as Head of the Department of Behavioral Sciences in the Institute of Kidney Diseases & Research Center (IKDRC) and the Institute of transplantation Sciences (ITS) at Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad. At these institutes, he administers hypnotherapy to reduce pre-and-post surgery stress for kidney and liver transplant patients. He is also associated as a Visiting Psychologist with The Shalby Hospitals, Ahmedabad. Dr Bhimani delivers lectures on clinical psychology to post-graduate students and trains counselors besides being a visiting faculty at the SBB Collage of Physiotherapy at VS Hospital in Ahmedabad.

Dr Bhimani pens a regular column related to Mental Fitness in the Gujarati Daily Divya Bhaskar’s Wednesday edition of ‘Kalash‘ titled ‘Man Durasti‘and has opined on various articles in leading national newspapers like The Times of India, DNA, Indian Express, The Telegraph and The Pioneer; local famous dailies like Ahmedabad Mirror, Divya Bhaskar, Sandesh, Dainik Bhaskar and Dainik Jagran; north-Indian leading dailies like The Hitavada, Rajasthan Patrika and Amar Ujala and well-read magazines like Femina, India Today, Chitralekha, Abhiyan and Gruhshobha to name a few.

Dr Bhimani has to his credit numerous research papers, self-written articles and enriching books in the area of his work. Recently acknowledged as one of the first writers to translate a Man Booker Prize winning book in the history of Gujarati literature– The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga, he has also co-authored a publication which is prescribed as a textbook for Under Graduate students of Psychology of Gujarat University. Other books authored by Dr Bhimani include a compilation of the articles appearing in the leading Gujarati Daily Divya Bhaskar’s column “Mandurasti” by the same name ‘Hun ane Tun‘ a book on relationships where he explores the interpersonal relationships of married couples.

An untiring pursuant of his field of work, Dr Bhimani continues to do scientific research on the topics of human psychology and shares his knowledge in the form of lectures and books on the subjects of human interest and psychology.
